As of April 2011, Mexico has a total of 1,088 active businesses.
SM City Pampanga contributes the biggest local revenue for the municipality as its tenants and locators generate about P43 million a year in business tax. This is part of Mexico’s stable income from local taxes alone amounting to P73.7 million a year. The municipality’s total income in 2010 was recorded at P210.6 million.

Commercial Establishments
Commercial establishments constitute the largest number in Mexico’s businesses. Most of these are retail and service oriented such the 149 stores and tenants inside SM City Pampanga, the Teletech (BPO), the gasoline stations, Wilcon Builders, RC Construction Company, Mexico Printing, the restaurants and food stops including Apag Marangle, Lakeshore Grillhouse, Cucina and more.

Banks
Mexico has three banks namely Rural Bank of Mexico Inc., Guagua Rural Bank and Porac Bank. Because of its proximity with the San Fernando, Mexico likewise enjoys the services of the major banks in the city.
